Having passed the elimination round of University Quiz Competition and a tough qualifiying interview, Kevin Maglinte and Chris Wayne Comendador were among the 16 participants who were chosen to attend the three-day Leadership Seminar in Clarin, Bohol on October 17–19. The training was composed of two days of character and leadership workshops and a day of excursion to the famous destinations in Bohol.
At the helm of the training were Tony Briza, Sugbu Study Center Director and other three members of Universitas namely; Mark, Jhester, an awardee of Ten Outstanding Students of the Philippines (TOSP), and Jeff, a newly certified public accountant.
The training started with a name game, which helped the 16 participants to instantly connect with one another. Group workshops were also conducted to appreciate the importance of communication and good leadership in team activities. The trainees also had a small mind battle that tested their delineating power as they played Pinoy Henyo.  During their break time, they put their sports prowess through a domino of physical outdoor games were played like football, slipper baseball, and dodgeball.
But what most highlighted the seminar was the VOICES Analysis where the participants were asked to form an organization that would aim to train high school students in Cebu and share their knowledge on leadership.
To cap the training, an extreme mountain climbing and river trekking experience at E.A.T Danao, Bohol subdued the participants’ unquenchable thirst for adventure. Afterwards, they feasted on a breathtaking view at Sagbayan Peak and watched Bohol’s nature at its best.
